We met at Denise's home and after a tour of her new air-stream (way cool!) we enjoyed a few starters. The appetizers were delicioso! There was an amazing cheese and olive platter as well as bruschetta.
We had cooking lessons! What fun it was for Cindy to show us
how to make crepes using her mom's cutest cast iron pan. The crepes were
used in Cindy's dish for the manicotti.
We enjoyed eggplant parmigiana, manicotti (which were served in individual dishes), sauce and meatballs with garlicky Italian bread... all enjoyed with a few glasses of wine. What a feast!
Our evening ended with an array of home made biscotti & eclairs. There were three types of biscotti: cherry and almond, double dark chocolate & ginger biscotti. The eclairs were filled with a vanilla custard and drizzled with a chocolate glaze. I wish I was better with my camera... next time!
