Snow! More than I've seen in years! I'm not sure we'll see green grass until mid-June. One storm after the next caused us to delay our cooking club a couple of weeks... We met at Jen's house. Unfortunately only a few of us were available but we had a special guest join us (Denise's daughter). All in all... a great night... plenty of food, wine and chatter!
We had an eclectic array of goodies to eat from various regions...
French ~ Quiche Lorraine. Denise made this savory tart with ham and asparagus. Very creamy and delish!
German ~ Soft Pretzels with Cheddar Sauce - the pretzels are really fun to make!
The dough is a yeast dough that rolls out easily to what ever pretzel shape you like - boil for a minute or two then bake in the oven. They are best when eaten warm just out of the oven.

Greek ~ Nina's Yiayia's Stuffed Peppers - cute presentation in pepper cups with little hats. They were as yummy as they looked!

Italian ~ pizza and grinders - both yummy. The pizza had a hint of salt on the crust and roasted garlic hidden under the blanket of cheese.
The grinders were made with salami & cheese with a hint of arugula and olive oil and cherry tomatoes. The bread was so good.....
And to wrap things up we had chocolate peanut butter cup brownies. So good with a cup of hot coffee the next morning too! Thank you Kristy!
