Salads ~ June 2013

Our June meeting was at Angi's.  We had a salad theme to welcome summer.  However the weather did not cooperate!  It was cool and rainy... but the company as always was warm and inviting.  We started the evening on the porch with some appetizers and sipping traditional English Pimm's.   The glass was filled with an assortment of colorful fruit and vegetables - melon, cucumber, berries and mint.  It was really delish!

We then went in (to the warmth!) to enjoy the array salads were colorful and yummy!

Angi had a gorgeous table for us... so colorful!

We enjoyed nicoise salad (pictured above - almost too pretty to eat!), orzo pasta salad, shrimp, grilled steak, quinoa salad!  A feast.  For dessert we enjoyed our wine with a pineapple upside down cake (and it was a wee 'upside down') and white chocolate pistachio bark.

 What another fun night!
