Bring on those hot, sultry summer evenings... great for dinners at the beach, sunset ride on a boat or a simple picnic in the backyard. We did just that... dinner on Jeanne's back porch. It was an intimate group of four. A great evening sipping sangria, fine food and great talks with friends.
When your summer gardens are overflowing with zucchini we are always looking for a new way to serve this vegetable. Angi brought a sweet corn and zucchini pie. It had mushrooms and cheese too. A summer tart - really yummy.

Jeanne made a fruit salad... fresh, cool and delish.
Denise made ribs with a spicy rub on it.... they were so tender with the right amount of heat.
I brought mini lemon bundt cakes with a blueberry compote... I couldn't get the damn things out of the pan. I refer to them as 'fugly' cakes... but they did taste pretty good! Nothing that a little (or a lot!) whipped cream wasn't able to help with.
A great night with sharing thoughts and stories while enjoying a great bite to eat and drink!
