Backyard Cookout ~ July 2013

Jeanne has the cutest screened porch where we gathered for our July meeting.  It was one of those typical hot July evenings - perfect for a backyard cookout.  Along with Prosecco and wine we kicked off our evening with a yummy summer cocktail that Nina made with St. Germain - so light and fresh!  We had grilled shrimp, figs and bruschetta.

The cooking club finally moved to the dining room (what was it after 9 pm???) where the party continued.  We then enjoyed some fabulous lobster, chicken & corn salsa, watermelon salad, caprese salad skewers & corn feta couscous salad. There is always more food than we will ever eat in one sitting - but oh so good!

Yes...we were all present.  All the ladies of the Scituate Cooking Club... I think Rita ducked out of the group shot!

Not sure I should mention it... but we had an extra visitor - the police! That rowdy cooking club is at it again!
